Knapp
Kuno Knapp joined the Quantum Device Lab in June 2021 as a web developer for our group website.
Schweiz: ETH Zürich und PSI gründen Quantum Computing Hub
Die ETH Zürich und das Paul-Scherrer-Institut wollen den Bau eines Quantencomputers forcieren
The goal is an experimental quantum computer in the canton of Aargau
Thomas
Thomas Havy is part of the Superconducting Circuits team of the ETH Zurich - PSI Quantum Computing Hub. He joined the Quantum Device Lab in May 2021 as a software engineer. Prior to joining our group, Thomas obtained a bachelor's and master's degree in Microengineering from EPFL.

ETH Zurich and PSI found Quantum Computing Hub
ETH Zurich and the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) establish a joint centre for the development of quantum computers. ETH Zurich provides 32 million francs for this centre, which will host around 30 researchers. Under the leadership of Andreas Wallraff and Jonathan Home they will pursue research in the two technology areas of superconducting circuits and ion traps. In the future, further groups working on related topics will complement the research centre. The Quantum Computing Hub will be located on the PSI campus in Villigen, Canton of Aargau.
Quentin
Quentin Ficheux will join the Quantum Device Lab in July 2021 as a Postdoc. His research will focus on the implementation of Quantum circuits for simulation and computation. Quentin obtained his PhD from ENS Paris and Lyon, where he studied the dynamics of a Quantum bit under simultaneous and incompatible measurements. He then joined JQI at the University of Maryland, where he implemented high-fidelity gates on Fluxonium circuits.
Milan
Milan Lezaic joined the Quantum Device Lab in March 2021 as part of his apprenticeship. He started his education at ETH as a physics laboratory assistant in 2018.
